Insider Tip: The best times to kayak at Werner Boyce Salt Springs State Park, located on the west coast of Florida, are shouldered around high tide. To find the optimal time based on the day you are visiting, call Paddling Adventures as 727-478-3146 or visit WhatTideisit.com and insert “zip code 34668.” Ideal paddling times are one to two hours prior to high tide and one to two hours after high tide. Once the water level approximates low tide, it becomes more difficult to navigate safely.
